Small, neat design, but very poor sound quality.
I have a question for those people that rated this item with 5 stars: did it get 5 stars because sound came out of it when you hooked it up, or did you actually compare it to ANY other speakers?? Yes, it has a small, neat design, but it sounds bad. Try comparing this speaker before you buy and I guarantee you'll immediately see what I mean. The Bose VCS-10 sounds so much worse than even the cheapest () bookshelf speaker you can pick up from any of your local stores. The center channel is such an important part of your surround-sound system - I wouldn't even use this in the Kmart all-in-one surround-sound system. If you want something that looks pretty, buy a nice ornament and put it on top of a decent-sounding center-channel speaker :-)

It's big. Much about 2-3x bigger than the Bose center speaker that cost 2x as much that I purchased and returned. The sound is MAYBE a little better, but I can't really tell. Overall a good if not large center speaker. The construction is sturdy and it looks nice. Just large.

My System
My system consists of Mythos 4's for the Front speakers, Mythos 5's for the rear surrounds, a Mythos 3 for the center channel and a Super Cube II for the sub. I drive these with a Denon 2310ci and my video is a Pioneer Elite KURO signature series 60" monitor 141FD. My AV room is around 14' x 20.
The sound from this system is really nice. Clean and uncolored, very natural best describes it. The system also has a great Wife Acceptance Factor. The look is classy and does not look out of place in the room. The center channel is amazingly clear. I've always had a complaint about the muffled center channel sound on many home systems. This center delivers. The Denon Audyssey setup leaves a sound stage that is close to perfect. No holes or hotspots. The sub is powerful and moves a tremendous amount of air for it's diminutive size.
I find that the system is as good for listening to music as it is for surround sound and while not inexpensive, it is one of the best bang for the buck systems I've ever listened to. I've owned this system for a little over a year and would buy it again today in a heartbeat.

ABSOLUTELY SOLID
Sony has always made solid set of speakers. They are just less known and for some reason, these days they only have one series.
Well these center channel was purchased to add some vocal performance to music as well as movies (that's what center channel's are for right?). First of all, these speakers are quite large. You may want to check their dimensions because even though they claim it is designed for Bravia, I do not see how the depth of the speakers could match your bravia. The speaker grills don't "hide" the woofers very well. You could see through and clearly see the woofers... this is minimal complaint especially if you watch your movies in the dark. I just found them annoying. Why cover the woofers if they don't really make them invisible like other speaker grills?
Having said that, the quality of build is excellent. You can't beat what you get for the price. TWO 5.25" drivers and a tweeter, it even has a port! The cones are made of very durable material. Although I had to play music for 7 straight hours to "set" these speakers in. It turns out they were never pre-tested in the factory so like boots, they need to be broken into.
These speakers are trooper! I am currently punching in 140 watts (RMS, not peak!) and they handle well even at high volumes. This is very rare for a center channel. The sound nothing short of amazement for the price. Clear dialogues and enhancement in music enjoyment! My greatest delight is how it enhanced my music setup! The center channel takes all my vocals and adds the midrange my other speakers are lacking. Now the balance of sound in my setup sounds like a concert hall.
I have used other HIGHER performing center channels before but they cost 3x-4x as much at least. But even then the quality build can't compare with this SONY. I feel like I could drop these center channel down the stairs and still get the same performance. It is very uncommon to find a center channel with much thought and detail as front speakers put into them and this center channel feels like it hits that spot.
VERY NICE
Got this center speaker to replace my Sony Bravia HT-SS2000 Home Theater System the one that came with the home theater system with a little weak all around so I got this bad boy. Makes everything sound 10 times better the only thing it a big center speaker but the sound is big too.
what else can be said??
A great sounding speaker, precise, clear, no distortion and able to handle plenty of power. I've used it on multiple systems and room sizes with never a regret. the big surprise is that it is soooo low cost. It really does sound like a much higher end center.
